Amerika

Two poor, white parents living in modern-day South Central LA struggle to raise their 8-year-old son while trying to overcome the father’s criminal past.

The story is set in an alternate version of America where black and white race relations are reversed. Four hundred years ago, Africans captured Europeans and brought them to North America to be sold as slaves.

As we stand on the precipice of a Trump presidency, AmeriKa is a film that exposes xenophobia, bigotry and intolerance in an effort to foster empathy for those that are considered ‘other’ in our country.
