The Opening Day of The 15th Oakland International Film Festival begins on April 4th. Destination Chinatown means to meet us in Chinatown to celebrate independent filmmakers and the stories they tell. We are currently seeking various locations in Chinatown to host networking events, workshops and film screenings.

Chinatown Oakland was settled in the 1850s shortly after the gold rush. Although, one of the oldest Chinatowns in the United States, “Chinatown” is more like “Pan Asian town” consisting of 16-block area of Koreans, Cambodians, Japanese and Vietnamese businesses, schools, churches, etc.
The Oakland Asian Cultural Center, located on 9th Street in Chinatown hosts many events to promote and preserve Asian culture throughout the year.

She Started It follows five young women on their journey towards start-up success.
