The Amazing Mr. Excellent
After a series of personal misfortunes, Duncan Quinn (white suburban
husband, father of two, and comic-book fan) is shocked unconscious by his
toaster. While unconscious, a TV commentator’s voice filters into Duncan’s ear, which Duncan mistakes for the voice of God, and he awakes believing that he has
divine orders to be a super-hero. Undaunted by his lack of super-powers, Duncan dons a cape and a whistle, takes the name ‘Mr. Excellent’, and ventures out to fight crime in his suburban community. After a couple days with no luck finding crime in the suburbs, Duncan takes his best friend's advice and sets out to fight crime in the ghetto.
