DAY 2

Day 2. April 4th, 2018 will mark 50 years since the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This past year, The Oakland International Film Festival partnered with The Oakland Unified School District’s 39th Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s Oratorical contest in promoting the name of Dr. King’s last book: “Where Do We Go From Here?” as we search for solutions in 2018. We will present some of the performances from the oratorical contest on this day in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Screenings will take place at both Holy Names University and Jack London Regal Theater, followed by question/answer sessions.
