Although, California is the nimber one state oin Agriculture in the United States. Several urban, predomintely Afriican American communities in California suffer from lack of access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Mo' Better Food Program, has since 1998, sought to reconnect produce grown by African - American farmers, who make up less than 1% of all farmers in California, back into these communities.
