Fernando is a 27 year old Finnish translator, shy and solitary, whose daily life changed drastically when an old childhood friend, Iratxe, stays at his place for a few days while she is in town taking some lifeguard tests.

That would not be too much of a problem if Fernando hadn’t kept until now his imaginary childhood friend, an impressive superhero, tall and muscular, who answers to the name of “Captain Kiloton”. Since his classmates made life unbearable for him at school, Fernando took refuge in this superhero, who became his best friend.

In spite of Kiloton’s imposing presence, deep down he is terribly insecure and he is afraid that this new intruder will break his friendship   with the human. However, it is his jealousy what ruins the relationship and sends him right to the unemployed imaginary friend crowd. While Fernando helps Iratxe with her tests, the superhero realizes that, involuntarily, he has broken the record of continuance in a human-imaginary friend relationship. This makes him reconsider…

Captain Kiloton encourages Fernando to take a step forward in his relationship Iratxe. And, although his friendship with his human has changed, he finds a new vocation and starts giving lectures for imaginary friends who have lost their jobs, and compiles his memoirs in the book "A Practical Guide for Imaginary Friends"…
