This years, opening film screenings of The 20th Oakland International Film Festival (OIFF20) will be held at The Grand Lake Theater on September 15th. two shorts ( Sweet Briyani ( India) and The Archives of Billy X, will screen with the feature film: The Sleeping Negro from 6:00- 8:30 p.m. Following these session of films, starting from 9:15 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., two short films: Human Trash (Spain) and Push! will screen with the feature documentary: Pen To The Pencil, concluding the opening night films at the Grand Lake Theater.

Friday, September 16th, day 2 of OIFF will be held at Holy Names University for a feature presentation of the documentary Show the Sign by Cat Brewer.

Saturday, September 17th, day 3 of OIFF 20 will be held at the Freedom Market. The day will consist of the regular farmers market that happens every Saturday, featuring African- American Farmers. When the sun goes down, an outdoor screening of indie films will take place.

Sunday, September 18th, day 4 of OIFF20 To Be Announced

Monday, September 19th , day 5 screenings of OIFF20 will be held at Holy Names University

Tuesday, September 20th, day 6 screenings of OIFF20 will be held at Holy Names University

Wednesday, September 21st day 7 screening of OIFF20 will be held at The Grand Lake Theater.

Thursday, September 22nd – day 8 – To Be Announced

Friday, September 23rd  – Day 9 – To Be Announced

Saturday, September 24th – Day 10 – The Fox Theater

 (special screening at The Fox Theater in collaboration with Oaksterdam University).
